Utah Programs

Durango based Kling Mountain Guides loves Utah!  We offer a variety of different courses and trips through out southeastern Utah.  From mid-winter to the heat of summer we have something for every time of the year! 

Rock Climbing

We love Utah!  KMG runs trips offers rock climbing trips for all abilities and dificulty in Utah year round.  We lead climbing trips to areas such as Castle Valley, The Fisher Towers, Wall Street, Indian Creek and Kane Springs Canyon.

Skiing

The liscense plate says it all!  Utah has some of the best skiing on earth!  Come explore the legendary snow with Kling Mountain Guides.  We run ski trips in the La Sal mountains outside of Moab.  Come ski huge bowls and huge peaks.  The La Sal mountains have something for everybody!

Avalanche Courses

Learn the "why behind the what" with an American Institue for Avalanceh Research and Educaiton (AIARE) avalanche course.  Kling Mountain Guides offers both Level 1 and Level 2 AIARE avalanceh courses in Utah snow.

Canyon Country Backpacking

*Kling Mountain Guides operates under special use permits in the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park , Moab BLM, Indian Creek BLM, Manti-La Sal National Forest, Cedar Mesa Grand Gulch BLM, and Dalla Mountain Park areas.  Kling Mountain Guides operates under the Durango Mountain Resort operating plan in the San Juan National Forest.  Kling Mountain Guides LLC provides services and employment regardless of ethnic or cultural heritage, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or physical handicap. Josh Kling operates as an employee of Mountain Trip, San Juan College, Fort Lewis College, and the Silverton Avalanche School.. Mountain Trip, San Juan College, Fort Lewis College, and the Silverton Avalanche School all operate under special use permits from the United States Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management in their respective operating districts.**
