Come rock climbing with Kling Mountain Guides, Durango’s locally owned mountain guide service. We take pride in being the Durango based mountain guide service that makes family fun our #1 priority! Whether you have never been rock climbing before or you are an expert looking for some advanced rock rescue techniques, Kling Mountain Guides can take you there. Our climbing trips take place in the Durango, CO, around Moab UT, at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and even Mexico! The Durango area offers extraordinary climbing for people of all ages and abilities. Have you never rock climbed before? Then come climbing with us! Check out the different rock climbing programs we offer. Do you want to go rappelling but not climbing. Let us take you rappelling! Kids 8 years old and younger climb free with a paying adult!

  • Rock Climbing Durango CO: (half day to multi day trips) From half day family fun trips to multi day instructional clinics and courses, Durango has some rock climbing for everybody!

 

  • Rock Climbing Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colorado: (full day to multi day trips) Are you looking to try a new climbing spot? Are you looking to avoid the crowds of typical "popular locations?  Than the Black Canyon could be for you!  From short moderates to long exposed routes, the Black has it all!

 

  • Rock Climbing Castle Valley, Utah (full day to multi day trips) Climbing in southeastern Utah is a must for any rock climber. Climb a classic desert tower like Castleton or South Six Shooter with us!

 

  • Rock Climbing Indian Creek, Utah: (full day to multi day trips) Climbing in southeastern Utah is a must for any rock climber.  Indian Creek is world famous for the perfect splitter cracks that cover all the walls.  Come try you hand at crack climbing!

 

  • Alpine Rock Climbing Ophir, Colorado: (full day to multi day trips) Try Rock climbing in the alpine setting of Ophir wall near Telluride!.  At nearly 9,000 ft above sea level the Ophir Wall offers multi-pitch climbs ranging in difficulty from 5.6 to 5.10.

 

  • Rock Climbing El Potrero Chico, Mexico: ( 5 to 12 day trips) Do you love the sun and loath the snow?  Than come rock climbing with KMG in Mexico!  This is a perfect winter destination.  With our knowledgeable Western guides, you will be guaranteed a great time and great adventure!

The Rock ‘N Raft program consists of a two hour raft trip and a four hour climbing excursion! Float down the Animas River through the heart of Durango with professional raft guides who specialize in family rafting trips. Enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown Durango from the river’s perspective through Class II and III rapids - perfect for first-timers!

Then switch from boats to ropes as you scale the sandstone cliffs overlooking Durango and the beautiful Animas Valley. Let a professional mountain guide "show you the ropes" as you learn the basics of rock climbing all while having fun!
