Mt Rainier, Washington with Kling Mountain Guides

Emmons Route

Katuz Route

Mt Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the lower 48. At 14,410 feet above sea level it is also the fifth highest peak in the lower 48! This summer, join Kling Mountain Guides on an incredible journey up the flanks of this incredible peak.  KMG's trips will be limited to four climbers so reserve your space now.  We do not run "puppy mill" trips where you are herded up the mountain.  When you climb with Kling, it's custom all the way.  Experience the service you deserve on a KMG adventure!

Emmons Route Expedition Background

The Emmons route is the second most popular route on Mt Rainier.  Come see why!  This is a great trip for the climber looking to go back to Mt. Rainier, but avoid the often crowded Disappointment Cleaver and Ingraham Direct routes.  Our Emmons expedition is for mountaineers who want to test their practical skills on one of the most challenging peaks in the lower 48, with out the difficulties of more technically challenging routes.  If you have climber Rainier before, this is a great second trip.  If you have not climbed Rainier before, then come along on our adventure!  If you are planning on traveling to Alaska, South America, or the even the Himalayas this is a great warm up!

Kautz Route Expedition Background

The KMG Kautz expeditions is for mountaineers who want to test their practical skills If you have climber Rainier before, this is a great second trip!  The Kautz route proves just a little more technical and challenging then our Emmons expedition.   Come swing tools in the Kautz ice chute and experience the solitude of unestablished camps on the most glaciated peak in the lower 48. If you have not climbed Rainier before, then come along on our adventure!  If you are planning on traveling to Alaska, South America, or the even the Himalayas this is a great warm up!
